From Tearoom & Gallery to Community Arts
Tea Amantes is evolving. Our kitchen may be closed, but our creative journey continues.
Founded in 2018 by Anna Paprzycka, Tea Amantes began with a passion for loose-leaf tea, art, and bringing people together. What started as a small independent tea business gradually developed into something much more.
In November 2021, Tea Amantes – Tearoom & Gallery opened its doors in the heart of Blackpool, creating a welcoming space where tea, food, art, and community could come together.
Over the years, the venue became known not only for its selection of more than 80 loose-leaf teas from around the world, but also for its exhibitions, poetry evenings, photography events, creative workshops, and cultural gatherings.
An Unexpected Turning Point
In May 2026, following a flood caused by circumstances beyond our control, we were forced to close our kitchen.
Unfortunately, this was the second flooding incident to affect our premises.
After facing these repeated challenges, we made the difficult decision not to reopen the kitchen or continue the food-service side of the business.
Although this marked the end of an important chapter, it also gave us an opportunity to reflect on what had become the most meaningful part of Tea Amantes: art, creativity, cultural exchange, and the people who bring our community together.
A New Chapter – Tea Amantes Community Arts
Rather than allowing these circumstances to bring our journey to an end, we decided to build on the creative and cultural work that had already become such an important part of Tea Amantes.
This led to the creation of Tea Amantes – Community Arts, a community group dedicated to supporting artistic expression, encouraging cultural exchange, and creating opportunities for people to connect through the arts.
Our activities now focus on:
Art exhibitions featuring local and emerging artists.
Creative workshops and photography projects.
Poetry, literature, and storytelling events.
Cultural initiatives celebrating both British and Polish heritage.
Community-led projects encouraging participation, inclusion, and collaboration.
Opportunities for artists and residents of different backgrounds and generations to connect.
Our aim is to make art and culture accessible, celebrate the creativity of Blackpool, and strengthen connections within our diverse community.
The Same Spirit, a New Direction
While our kitchen has been closed since May 2026, Tea Amantes continues to welcome people through its artistic and cultural activities.
We are proud of everything we created as a tearoom and gallery, and grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.
The friendships, collaborations, exhibitions, and shared experiences that began here remain at the heart of what we do.
Tea Amantes is no longer simply a place to enjoy tea. It is a place where creativity, culture, and community come together.
Our story continues, and we look forward to writing its next chapter together.

Visitor Information
Please note: Our kitchen has been permanently closed since May 2026, and we no longer operate as a café or restaurant.
The venue continues to be used for exhibitions, workshops, cultural gatherings, and special events.
