Elizabeth Ward Solo Art Exhibition

Elizabeth Ward is a Blackpool-based artist and a graduate of Blackpool and The Fylde College (2009). Since then, she has been developing her painting practice across a wide range of subjects – from landscapes and seascapes to abstracts and portraiture.

Her work is inspired by sensory experiences, vibrant colour palettes, and the stories hidden within places. She has exhibited locally in Blackpool as well as internationally, including Gothenburg, Sweden.

Elizabeth predominantly works on a larger scale, using oils or acrylics, often referencing her own photographs or painting directly from life.

This exhibition presents a collection of landscapes, seascapes, and skyscapes. Working mainly with oils, Elizabeth captures impressionistic moments and translates them onto canvas – whether from plein-air painting sessions or studio-based experiments with mixed media.

The show offers a gentler interpretation of the Fylde coast and its natural beauty, reflecting the joy and intrigue Elizabeth finds in her local surroundings.
